Tips for Making Sure Your Session is a Success:

  • Wear clothes you feel comfortable in and avoid busy patterns and logos.

  • Arrive plenty early to park and make your way to the session location (emailed to you a day or so in advance). Aim to be settled 10 minutes before your session starts.

  • Don’t worry too much about your kids’ behavior! I have some tricks up my sleeve, and if you’re happy and relaxed they’ll follow your lead.

  • Resist giving your kids direction while Jessie is photographing their individual portraits! I know it’s hard!

  • Bring snacks and toys for young kids.

 

 

Mini Portrait Sessions

Have you made it out to one of our music events? Did you make it to the first annual Sleepy Fest, or our second.hand.made pop-up market? Want to help keep the arts going out here, and get a fun family portrait while doing so?

Join us for a 2-day mini portrait session! Jessie Gladdek, owner of Down Yonder Farm and former full-time photographer, will be offering 20-minute photo sessions on November 12th & 13th, during both the morning and afternoon. Sessions will take place in various locations around our 50 acre property, and take advantage of the beautiful outdoors and fall foliage.

All proceeds help us cover our operating expenses as we continue to offer space for artists, musicians, writers, and others.

 
 

The fine print:

Payment is due by Friday, 11/11/22, at 5pm. Payments may be made in the form of cash, check, Venmo (@JGladdek), or PayPal (jessie.gladdek@gmail.com; please use “friends and family”). A gallery of 15-20 images will be able (to view only) within 1 week of your session. Once you email your 5 selections, please allow 3-4 days for turnaround. Don’t like any of your photos once you see your gallery? That’s okay! If you decide not to use any of them, I’ll issue you a full refund. However, no partial refunds will be issued whether or not you decide to select fewer of your 5 final images. Photos are for personal use only and may not be used for professional purposes. Locations will be pre-selected by me (Jessie) and limited to one backdrop per session, with a nearby second option if time allows. The group shot will be taken first, and individual portraits may be done afterward as time allows. I have years of experience photographing children and will draw on that to elicit smiles, laughter, etc; however, a good mood can’t be 100% guaranteed! Again, if none of the images are to your liking, you don’t have to pay a thing. No outfit changes during the session. No pets. You may bring props if you like. Backdrops will be natural (blurred woods, field, or farm background depending on lighting and time of day). Participants must be able to walk to the location which may be over uneven ground. Please remain in the immediate vicinity of your session and do not enter any pastures, barns, etc. Children must be attended at all times and may not climb trees or equipment. Cancellations may be made until Friday, 11/11/22 at 5pm. In the event of rain, full refunds will be issued. Sessions will take place in cloudy weather or sun.
