Welcome to Down Yonder Farm! Thank you for choosing our home for your stay. My family has been proud stewards of this land since 1978, and we have a deep connection with the surrounding community. We hope you have a wonderful stay and love it as much as we do. Below is some information about the farmhouse and surroundings.
Directions and check-in directions will be provided ahead of your stay.
PROPERTY RULES AND RISKS:
Registered guests only
PLEASE NOTE: Access to the property and farmhouse is strictly limited to the guests specified in your AirBnB reservation at the time of booking. No others guests or visitors are allowed on the property at any time during your stay without prior written consent, with the exception of drop-offs or pick-ups.
Driveway and parking
Max driveway speed is 12mph. The driveway is shared with a neighbor and is one-way. Park alongside the driveway loop and not in the yard. Do not block loop access for other vehicles.
Accessible areas
During your stay we invite you to enjoy exclusive use of the house and its the front and back porches. Guests are also welcome to be in the front and back yards, the trampoline, the “shady grove”, the path to the pond, and the dock. These are shared spaces may be shared by others on occasion during specific events or separate rentals on the farm.
Off-limits areas
Do not enter any outbuildings, storage areas/shelters, sheds, unmarked trails, fenced pastures, or barns without written permission. Do not touch any tools or farm equipment. Contact Jessie with any questions.
Common risks
Being on a farm property naturally comes with risks, so please take care during your visit. Some common risks of being on a property like ours include, but are not limited to, snakes, splinters, slippery surfaces, insect bites or stings, poison ivy, uneven ground, drowning risk in or around pond, and falling branches and tree limbs. Guests assume all liability for damage, injury, and death.
activities on the property during your stay
You and your guests have exclusive use of the Farmhouse during your stay. However, other people related to Down Yonder Farm may be on the property for farm chores, maintenance, or small events or workshops in the Music Hall. An example: a group of fiber artists called “Hotwheels Hand Spinners” has been meeting in the Music Hall once a month for over 30 years! A historian and neighbor occasionally hosts talks and tours of burial mounds in the woods to small groups. Please inquire if you have any questions or concerns.
Other property rules
No pets
No commercial or professional photography or video without prior written consent.
No parties or private events.
No loud music, and no amplified music outside after 10pm
No smoking in the house or on the porches.
Children must be attended by an adult at all times outside.
Check-in time (4pm) and check-out time (10am) are strict unless previously arranged in writing with Jessie.
